“I’m currently in the retirement process for over 22 years of active duty service. I’ve served with Special Operations for over 20 years with multiple Combat deployments and want to share how my Service Dog “Halo” helps in my daily life.

Between the Chronic Pain, Anxiety, TBI, PTSD, and Transition/Retirement stress his help is unexplainable. When my pain is unbearable or I have a migraine that I can’t shake he takes my mind off of it by recognizing and being by my side. Halo also helps by being that Ranger Buddy/ Teammate that we all miss during retirement when the constant missions/ deployments have come to an end and civilian life is around the corner. What Second Chance K9 is doing doesn’t only help the Human Operator, it also helps the Canine Operator. By putting a Team back together to help fill the void that we miss so much and need after Fighting the GWOT together for decades. I am very humbled to have worked with some Great American Heroes, Human and Canine Operators alike. This is one great way to keep us together and help each other out. Thank you Second Chance K9 for your continued service to this Great Country.”
